Accepted English tests
Proof required at time of application: TUM-recognised certificates (TOEFL iBT 88 Test Date Score; IELTS Academic 6.5; PTE Academic 65; Cambridge CAE/CPE A-C), or a degree taught and assessed entirely in English or at least 12 ECTS in English, or GMAT (classic/focus) at least 53rd percentile.
How grades are compared

Other requirements
GMAT (classic/focus) with at least 65% percentile ranking is mandatory for bachelor's degrees obtained in China, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and cannot be waived; extra points for GMAT above 71st percentile. No conditional admission if eligibility not met. Stage 1 (max 40 points core modules + 10 GPA + up to 10 GMAT): 34 or less = rejection, 45 or more = direct admission, 35-44 = Stage 2 admission test (40-50 questions on maths/statistics, business administration/accounting, micro/macroeconomics, short written text; held around beginning of July for winter intake); admission if combined total is 70+. Curricular Analysis form required; document list in TUMonline. APS certificate required for Chinese degrees (TUM-wide rule). Tests: GMAT required (bachelor's from China: at least 65th percentile; GRE not accepted as alternative).
