- Prerequisite list (Common Computer Science Programmes): 'Year 12 or higher level pass in Mathematics'; selection test/interview: No. The Computing FAQ says applicants without Mathematics may still be assessed holistically; the official prerequisite list states Mathematics, so it is recorded as mandatory. Applies to foreign applicants with international qualifications (12 years of general education by July of the application year). Gaokao route: completed gaokao results, or Senior Middle 2 Semester 2 results with a good pass in gaokao expected; students who sit the gaokao in the application year must upload results within 3 days of release (2026 page: by 29 June, 12 noon SGT); Senior Middle 3 students not sitting the gaokao apply under 'Other High School Qualifications' with standardised test scores and latest school results; applicants with at least 3 AST subjects (incl. English and Mathematics) may submit them. International A-level route: standardised tests (AP, ACT with Writing, SAT) not required with completed A-levels, required when applying with AS-level results; assessment focuses on content-based subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Accounting and Business; grades from up to two sittings and two boards within 12 months. All applicants list up to four achievements/activities and answer short response questions (NUS Computing FAQ). AY2027/28 application window for international qualifications: 16 December 2026 to 17 February 2027 (https://www.nus.edu.sg/oam/admissions/important-dates); outcomes by July. Original documents are verified at the start of term.
