MMF page sets no own minimum and refers to McGill's university minimum: TOEFL iBT 86 overall with each component at least 20 (6-point scale from Jan 2026: 4.5 overall; R/L/W 4.5, S 4.0) or IELTS Academic 6.5. Test-centre scores only (at-home tests, IELTS Online, TOEFL MyBest not valid). Duolingo and PTE not accepted for McGill graduate admission.
- How grades are compared
- China (McGill GPS equivalency): 4-5 year Bachelor's; 'A minimum grade of B, or a percentage grade equivalent to a B, is required.' B (3.0) = 80-89 on Percentage scale A, 78-82 on scale B, 75-77 on scale C; otherwise use the institution's own scale (https://www.mcgill.ca/gradapplicants/how-apply/you-apply-mcgill/equivalency). MMF: CGPA 3.0/4.0 or GPA 3.2/4.0 in the last two years of full-time study.
- Other requirements
- GMAT or GRE required for all applicants except those with a degree from a Canadian university. Transcripts, CV, two letters of reference, application fee CAD 143.82. After file review, selected candidates are invited to an interview (mostly virtual for international applicants). Summer intake only; the cohort typically starts mid-June. 45-credit, 12- or 16-month program. Applications processed as received, so applying early is advised. Final-year undergraduates and three-year international bachelor's holders may apply. Class profile 2026-2027: average GPA 3.63, average GMAT 642, 39 students. Tests: GMAT required (either GMAT or GRE; no minimum score); GRE required (either GRE or GMAT).
