- Applicants must meet SGS minimum English proficiency requirements at the time of application unless from a listed English-instruction country. SGS minimums: TOEFL iBT 93 with 22 in Writing and Speaking (new scale 4.5 overall, Writing 4.5, Speaking 4.0); IELTS Academic 7.0 with at least 6.5 in each component; Cambridge C1/C2 185 (176 each); CAEL 70 (60 each); COPE 76. Tests within the last 24 months.
- How grades are compared
- Programme minimum is an average equivalent to at least a mid-B in the final year; applicants with non-Canadian credentials are directed to the SGS International Credential Equivalencies tool. - Other requirements
- Final-year GPA must meet the SGS minimum; overall cumulative GPA is also considered. Course-based degree: full-time option designed for 12 months; extended full-time 16-24 months; part-time; new MEng Co-op option for Fall 2027 (limited spaces). Faculty application fee CAD 135; transcripts, referee contact details and statements as required. ECE states MEng application process updates will be provided in late October 2026 (number of references not yet published for MEng).
