Highly competitive programmes may set higher English requirements.
- How grades are compared
- PRC Gaokao: at least 80% of the maximum Gaokao score, plus a valid CSSD Verification Report from CHSI (https://www.ntu.edu.sg/admissions/undergraduate/admissions/undergraduate/admission-guide/international-qualifications/prc-gaokao)
- Other requirements
- PRC Gaokao route (international application, PRC Gaokao form). Current Gao 3 students may apply with Gao 1 and Gao 2 results. They must submit official Gaokao results within 3 days of release, or the application stops. Eligible applicants are interviewed in July, and the final decision is based on interview performance. Only shortlisted applicants are interviewed (the 'INTERVIEW required' above means for shortlisted applicants only). Students in the Gaokao curriculum who did not sit the Gaokao are assessed case by case on high school graduation results. Optional extras: AST results (at least 3 subjects: English, Mathematics and one more) and AP (at least 5 tests scored 4 or 5), both submitted with Gaokao or Gao 1/2 results. International Olympiad medallists may be admitted directly. No provisional offers on predicted results. IB Diploma applicants need 'a very good combination of 5s, 6s, and 7s' across 3 HL and 3 SL plus good EE/TOK (no points published). UK A-level applicants need good passes in at least 4 A-levels in one sitting (3 considered case by case, but not for subsidised places). NTU no longer accepts UK A-level/IAL holders whose results come out in August of the application year. The Indicative Grade Profile (CS 10th-90th percentile AAB/C to AAA/A) covers Singapore-Cambridge A-level only, so it does not apply to Chinese applicants. The degree leads to a Bachelor of Computing (4 years, direct honours).
