- How grades are compared
- China: to be considered for a Master's, applicants should have a Bachelor's degree from a Project 211 university with a final overall mark of 80% or better; preference is given to candidates with 85% or better (https://www.imperial.ac.uk/study/apply/postgraduate-taught/entry-requirements/accepted-qualifications/). Imperial states these are the university minimum, not specifically this department's standard.
- Expectations about your university
- Bachelor's degree from a Project 211 university (Imperial university-wide minimum for Chinese degrees)
- Other requirements
- UK standard: 2:1 in a highly quantitative subject; Business School admissions page says a First Class degree is preferred. GMAT/GRE not required but adds weight and is highly recommended for less quantitative backgrounds: GMAT minimum 55th percentile or 600 on the 10th edition (course page says current average 666, admissions page says 645), or GRE Quant 159. Online Maths test available to check suitability. Well-researched career plan required. Quantitative experience statement, CV, transcripts, three essays (career plans 350 words, why Imperial Business School 500 words, Imperial values 500 words), two references (two academic or one academic and one professional, from institutional email). Shortlisted candidates complete an online video interview. Internships strongly recommended. Must be the first-choice course; GBP 125 application fee; GBP 7,000 deposit on acceptance. 1-year full-time, starts August 2027.
