Home Edition, code 0394) taken before 21 January 2026: 100 overall with minimum 25 in writing and 23 in each other skill, taken from 21 January 2026: 5 overall with minimum 4.5 in each skill; PTE Academic (incl. UKVI, not PTE Academic Online) 69 overall with minimum 62 in each communicative skill; Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency 185 overall with minimum 176 in each skill; Oxford Test of English Advanced 150 overall with 140 in each component; Trinity ISE III merit in each skill; King's International Foundation pass with B+ in English module; King's Pre-Sessional pass with Band 7. Tests valid if taken within two years of 1 September 2027; all scores from one test (no TOEFL MyBest, no IELTS One Skill). A-level/AS-level, IB, GCSE/IGCSE English qualifications within five years also accepted (e.g. IB English B HL 5 or SL 7, IGCSE English Second Language 0511 grade A). Exemption only for nationals of UKVI majority English speaking countries who completed a level 3 qualification there.

- China: Gao Kao (National University Entrance Examination), Zhao Kao (Senior High School Examination) and the Maple Leaf World Schools Programme High School Diploma will not be considered for direct entry - study the King's International Foundation Programme instead (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/psychology-bsc/entry-requirements, country selector: China)

- Standard offer A*AA including grade A in one of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics or Psychology (contextual offer AAB). IB Diploma: 38 points overall or 19 from three Higher Levels, including HL 6 in one of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics (AA or AI), Physics or Psychology (contextual 35 points or 17 at HL). GCSE Mathematics 6/B can be met via IB Mathematics AA or AI at SL/HL grade 2 or MYP Mathematics grade 5. A-level General Studies, Critical Thinking, Thinking Skills and Global Perspectives not accepted. EPQ not considered. No admissions test or interview stated. Personal statement should show motivation, communication skills, enthusiasm for connections between disciplines and understanding of the programme. Resit applicants considered but reviewed against applicants who achieved grades in a standard timeframe. China: Gao Kao, Zhao Kao and Maple Leaf World Schools Programme High School Diploma not considered for direct entry - the published route is the one-year King's International Foundation Programme (guaranteed progression pathways available). Non-UK foundation courses and integrated (Year 0) foundations are not accepted. Applicants with a completed or ongoing degree may be considered with a minimum UK 2:1 or overseas equivalent. Recommended King's International Foundation pathways: Health, Life & Biosciences, eligible pathway STEM & Natural Sciences. Transfers into the programme are not permitted. Accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Optional year abroad or professional placement year (four-year variants).
