- Proof of German or English proficiency required (programme can be completed in German or exclusively in English). TUM-wide English minimums: TOEFL iBT 88 (Test Date Score only); IELTS Academic 6.5; PTE Academic 65; Cambridge CAE/CPE A-C; or prior degree with at least 50% English instruction.

- Two-stage aptitude assessment: Stage 1 evaluates specialist knowledge, average grade in relevant modules and submitted documents; Stage 2 = 60-minute written subject tests in areas where maximum score was not reached (higher mathematics, engineering mechanics, design fundamentals/CAD, materials science). GRE (General) required for undergraduate studies completed in Bangladesh, China, India, Iran or Pakistan (Q 164, AW 4.0). Non-German degrees pre-checked by uni-assist; APS certificate required for Chinese degrees (TUM-wide rule). Documents: CV, degree certificate, transcript, language proof, curriculum/module handbook, passport. No mandatory internship. Tuition for non-EU students EUR 6,000 per semester. Tests: GRE required (undergraduate studies in China: Quantitative 164, Analytical Writing 4.0).
